Churton Street Construction Updates - 27.03.2026

Phase 2 Churton Street (between Belgrave Road and Charlwood Place)

Construction is on-going along Churton Street between Charlwood Place and Belgrave Road.  During the works an existing underground carriageway void was uncovered and investigated.  However, during that investigation a further carriageway void was identified.  A trial hole survey and void remedial works are scheduled to begin the w/c 30 March for a duration of approximately two weeks, subject to any unforeseen findings. Until resolved this will require the existing road closure at the junction with Belgrave Road to remain in place and cause some delay to the project construction programme.  

Phase 3 Churton Street (between Churton Place and Tachbrook Street)

Paving works largely complete.  However, lighting column and gully installation work on-going, which will require paving reinstatement following completion.

Phase 4 Tachbrook Street (between Churton Street and Charlwood Street)

Construction works for the extended footway on-going at the northwestern arm of the junction with Charlwood Street, outside Nisa Local.  This is expected to be completed by 10 April.

Phase 1-5 Warwick Way & Phase 6 Upper Tachbrook Street (between Longmoore Street and Warwick Way)

Works are complete for phases 1 to 6 along Warwick Way & Upper Tachbrook Street. Tree planting works largely complete.  However, an additional tree is due to be planted w/c 30 March.
