Elizabeth Street Consultation

We are seeking feedback on proposed changes to the section of Elizabeth Street between Ebury Street and Chester Square.

We’re keen to hear your feedback including elements you particularly like, as well as anything you think needs further consideration.

Proposed improvements:

These proposals build on successful elements of the outdoor dining and increased greening that were introduced to Elizabeth Street in 2020 on a temporary basis. Visit this pageto see more details on the proposals, which include:

  • Reconfigured outdoor dining areas (small reduction), which match existing pavement levels and materials, and preserve adequate space for pedestrians, wheelchair users and those with visual impairments.
  • Minor alterations to parking and loading to better cater for servicing.
  • New high-quality planters and planting, bespoke to Elizabeth Street
  • Improved and additional lighting.
  • How to get involved

This consultation launched today and there are a number of ways you can take part.

  • Join a drop-in on 19th October (5-7pm) and 1st November (12-2pm) to find out more and ask questions. These sessions will be hosted in Eccleston Yards, 21 Eccleston Place, SW1W 9NF.
  • If you can’t make it in person, we’ll also be holding an online briefing on Thursday 2nd November, 6pm-7pm. Please register here.
  • Share your feedback by completing this survey by 7th November.
  • Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions by emailing WCC-Consultations@wsp.com.

We hope to see you at a drop in or the online briefing over the next few weeks!
