We have undergone an extensive process to develop the public realm masterplan for Regent Street, Haymarket and Piccadilly Circus. A masterplan is a comprehensive long-term blueprint for the public realm and our roadmap for it will evolve in the future. It is an evidence-based design for improving the public space between buildings, focused on elements such as paving, planting, lighting and seating, and how movement works through the area.
We’re looking at ways to make it easier and more enjoyable to move through the area to enable the best experience for everyone. We want to create a series of more inclusive and greener public spaces and streets that offer different moments along the way to excite and surprise.
The Masterplan proposes 10 Transformative Moves across Regent Street, Haymarket and Piccadilly Circus. We have summarised these 10 moves below.
You can find further detail on each of the specific moves by visiting the relevant pages for Regent Street, Regent Street St James's and Haymarket and Piccadilly Circus.
