North Paddington Canalside Festival 2025 – Engagement Report Now Live

We're pleased to share the Engagement Report for the North Paddington Canalside Festival 2025.

Across four weekends in September, the festival brought new life to the canal under the Westway flyover, delivering a vibrant programme of community-led activities focused on biodiversity, health and wellbeing, culture and creativity, and watersports.

Festival highlights:

• 460+ attendees across the festival

• 115 hours of free activities delivered

• 91% overall satisfaction rate

The programme included creative workshops, performances, paddleboarding sessions, family activities, and locally led initiatives designed to build long-term connection to the canal.

A particular highlight was the watersports programme delivered in partnership with Paddle UK. 75 local residents took part in free paddleboarding sessions, with six participants continuing to develop their skills through an ongoing mentoring and training partnership, creating a lasting legacy beyond the festival itself.

The festival also supported local organisations through community grants, helping to strengthen partnerships and activate the canalside ahead of permanent public realm improvements planned for the area.

All activities were free and open to the public, ensuring broad access and participation from across North Paddington.
