Local Flood Risk Management Strategy

Thank you for taking part in the consultation on Westminster City Council's Local Flood Risk Management Strategy (LFRMS). The updated strategy can be read in full here: https://www.westminster.gov.uk/local-flood-risk-management-strategy

Overview

The Strategy describes how flood risk is managed across Westminster and considers the risk of flooding from ordinary watercourses, groundwater and surface water. It outlines our priorities for managing local flood risk and sets out an Action Plan.

The LFRMS includes:

  • Objectives, measures and actions for managing local flood risk, along with how and when they are expected to be achieved.
  • An overview of the types of flooding Westminster is most vulnerable to.
  • The Risk Management Authorities within the boundaries of Westminster and which functions each authority has in managing local flood risk.
  • How engagement influenced the development of the Strategy.
  • A plan of how and when the Strategy is to be monitored and reviewed.

We look forward to work working with residents, community groups and Risk Management Authorities to deliver this strategy over the coming years.
