About the project
What is a Street Cleansing Depot?
A Street Cleansing Depot is a facility used by the Council to support street cleansing operations in the local area. The Harewood Avenue depot will serve as a base for street cleansing teams and the new electric vehicles, serving the Lisson Grove and St John’s Wood areas. It will feature:
- Dedicated parking spaces for electric vehicles within the depot along with electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
- Operational and welfare facilities for street cleansing staff (i.e. offices, changing rooms, lockers, dining area, kitchenette)
- The depot will not be used for waste storage or disposal. No public waste will be brought on site.
