Half Penny Steps Footbridge Public Art Commission
Westminster City Council is commisioning an artists or spatial practitioner to re-imagine the footbridge that spans the Grand Union Canal at Half Penny Steps, Harrow Road. The commission will involve renovating the appearance of the bridge such as a new colour scheme and temporary artwork.
This opportunity follows the design development and community feedback on concept designs for the North Paddington Canalside Programme, which is transforming 2.5km of waterway between Ladbroke Grove and Little Venice.
The deadline for mural artist tender submissions closed in March 2025. Once the successful artist is appointed, the Council will announce the outcome.
