After a great success in 2023, we are hosting another Community Cook-Off in Tamplin Mews Gardens (13 Abinger Mews, London W9 3SP) this Saturday, from 11 - 4pm!
The Community Cook-Off was first established in 2018 following the Grenfell tragedy, with the aim of bringing together community services, the Met Police, and residents in a relaxed and collaborative setting to improve relationships while celebrating the diverse culinary talents within the community.
The premise is simple: up to 12 teams compete using the same ingredients to make the most delicious meal possible, infused with their own cultures and culinary flair (no experience required!). The dishes are then judged by professional chefs, so a winner can be crowned, although everyone gets to taste great food, so there’s no real loss.
Throughout the day, there will be free food in addition to the competition (with anything left being donated to local organisations), music, activities for children and stalls promoting different projects.
No need to register, just come along between 11am and 4pm!
