'Know Ball Games in Westminster' consultation
Consultation description
We believe that participation in play, physical activity, leisure, sport, and play can be truly transformative, inclusive, and inherently positive. Being active and healthy goes hand in hand with an improved quality of life.
The aim of 'Know Ball Games in Westminster' is to remove the 'No Ball Games' signs in a selection of housing estates and parks and open spaces and replace them with a new culture which encourages everyone to use the space for play and be physically active.
The pilot scheme will be delivered across two stages, consultation and pilot. There will be three key consultation phases which will include drop-in sessions, an online survey and community meetings around the following housing estates and parks chosen for the pilot:
Housing pilot areas
We have identified three areas for the pilot scheme:
- Queens Park Estate and Court
- Hallfield Estate
- Churchill Gardens Estate
