We’ve Published the Warwick Avenue Engagement Report!

Thank you to everyone who took part in the engagement for the Warwick Avenue Public Realm concept design options. Your feedback has been crucial in shaping the next steps for this important public space.

The Engagement Report, Dec 2024 is now available via the link, summarising community responses to the four design proposals presented earlier this summer. With 338 survey responses and feedback gathered through public exhibitions and community events, the report reflects a wide range of views and provides key recommendations.

What’s Next?

In response to the feedback received, we will develop a hybrid proposal that builds on the baseline ‘a neighbourhood space’ design and incorporates popular elements from the other proposals. This hybrid proposal will:

1. Balance the local desire for improvements with minimal disruption during construction.
2. Provide a parking capacity that meets current demand while supporting the Council’s commitment to promoting walking and cycling infrastructure.
3. Include clear plans for maintaining new greenery and additional features.

The next stages of design development will get started in the new year, running from Winter to Summer 2025, and be informed by further technical studies, the identification and approval of delivery funding. This stage will be followed by a statutory public consultation and confirmation of a delivery timeline.
