You Said, We Did

We ran a survey last winter to gather information and opinions about existing issues and priorities, including:

• home comfort and energy
• awareness of the planning context
• interest in an area-wide permission for window replacements.

We received 71 responses submitted online, distributed as hard copies and in-person at the Winter Festival.

• The highest ranking concerns regarding people’s homes were that they are ‘cold and draughty during winter months’ and have ‘high energy bills’.
• The highest ranking barriers to upgrading homes were ‘applying for planning permission’ and ‘cost of installation’.
• Respondents generally wanted to be able to upgrade their windows whilst preserving the character of the front of the houses.
