Public Space Protection Orders (PSPO)

Public Space Protection Orders (PSPO)

Have your say on the council's plans to use Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPO) to address persistent anti-social behaviour issues in the borough.

About the project

Email

We are consulting on two proposed PSPOs. One to renew an existing order to encourage responsible drinking in public places in the borough, and another to renew and vary orders to encourage responsible dog ownership.

PSPOs create legal powers to help authorities address specific anti-social behaviour (ASB) issues in an area that are having a detrimental effect on the quality of life for those in the local community.

Proposed PSPOs

We encourage residents, businesses and visitors to provide feedback on the proposals and the potential impact the requirements and restrictions would have on them; to offer their comments or suggestions, and share experiences of any other ASB issues in public spaces in the borough.

Please view the draft orders and fill-out one or both of the surveys below to have your say. The consultation process will run through to Sunday 19 May 2024.
