Warwick Way Construction Updates - 24.10.2025

Phase 1 Warwick Way (between Upper Tachbrook Street and Wilton Road)

Works are complete for Phase 1 including the loading bay outside Tesco.  

Phase 2 Denbigh Street

The works on Denbigh Street are now complete with the exception of the permanent resin bound finish to the tree pit which will be completed in the coming weeks.

Phase 3 Wilton Road

The footway widening and traffic signal works for Phase 3 are complete.

Phase 4 Warwick Way (between Wilton Road and Guildhouse Street)

The footway widening works for Phase 4 are complete.

Phase 5 Warwick Way (between Guildhouse Street and Belgrave Road)

The footway works at the Belgrave Road junction have been completed and the junction with Belgrave Road has been reopened. 

The footway buildouts at Guildhouse Street have also been completed and the road is open to cyclists.

Phase 6 Upper Tachbrook Street (between Longmoore Street and Warwick Way)

Construction of the footway buildout is ongoing with an expected completion date of 7^th November.  Works will switch from the front of footway to the back of footway in the coming days.

Resurfacing of the Carriageway

Resurfacing of Warwick Way, Upper Tachbrook Street, Denbigh Street and Wilton Road was completed as planned over three days from 14^th to 16^th October.

Phase 1 Churton Street (between Tachbrook Street and Charlwood Place)

All footway works have now been completed to the northwest side of Churton Street between Tachbrook Street and Charlwood Place.  On the southeast side, the loading bay has been constructed except for a section outside No. 23.  Until ongoing investigations related to No. 23 are concluded, the rear section of footway cannot be completed.  A further update on an expected completion date for this section will be provided shortly.

Phase 2 Churton Street (between Charlwood Place and Belgrave Road)

Works to widen the footways in this section will begin on 3^rd November.
