Street Makers

How to become a Street Maker

Active Westminster Play Streets

Street Makers

What is a street maker?

Street Makers are made up of residents who have completed the Street Maker training and are willing to donate their time to marshal the play street activities.

What do street makers have to do?

As well as completing the training, Street makers have to complete an indemnity form as well as risk assessments and submit these to Westminster City Council. They are also encouraged to take out public liability insurance prior to any street play or play street session taking place.

How do I become a Street Maker?

Firstly you need to watch the training video using the link below:

https://active.westminster.gov.uk/activestreets/activestreets-become-streetmaker/

Once you have watched the training video you can take the assessment here:

https://active.westminster.gov.uk/streetmaker-training-assessment/

What happens once someone has completed their street maker training?

If you have successfully completed your training, you will receive an email confirmation to say that you have passed.

Next you can then apply to run a Street Play session on a designated road/street. This can be done via the Active Westminster Website - Active Streets - ActiveWestminster.

Westminster City Council hold a register of everyone who has successfully completed their Street Maker training.
