Chain of Lakes Park Trail & Additional Parking Project

The City of Winter Haven is advancing parking and park improvements at Chain of Lakes Park to better support visitors and community events. This phase of the project includes construction of three new parking areas—identified as proposed parking Areas A, B, and C—adding approximately 358 new parking spaces. The project also includes additional greenspace located near the pond to enhance the overall park environment.

Construction is anticipated to be complete by Spring 2026. Due to the close proximity of this work to the new trail, the trail is expected to open once this phase of construction is complete. Funding for this parking phase is being shared between the City of Winter Haven and Polk County.
