Winter Haven Bell Tower Project

The Oldt Family Carillon will be located in the middle of South Central Park. The Carillon is being donated by Mr. Thomas Oldt as “a tangible means of expressing a lifetime’s worth of gratitude to a nurturing community and a way of honoring the memory” of the Oldt Family. The Carillon will provide a new feature to the Park. It will include bronze bells which were cast in the Netherlands and is one note shy of a 2-octave chromatic scale.

In addition to the Carillon itself, the project includes the installation of the instrument and the construction of a surrounding decorative wall, creating an elegant and inviting space for visitors.

Construction Timeline

Start: March-May

Road Closures & Temporary Access Roads

A small portion of the park will be closed during construction. Adjacent parking spaces will be temporarily closed during construction. The parking lot off 4th Street will be limited during the actual installation of the Carillon.
