Transportation Infrastructure

The City of Winter Haven Regional Airport is in the process of developing a virtual airport traffic control tower. It will be one of the first in the country. It will utilize state of the art camera and sensor technology to manage the airspace for an already congested region. The tower will drastically enhance safety for pilots and ground operators. The project utilizes 100% funding from the federal level.

Milling and overlay work will take place on select streets and all listed roads will remain open during roadwork.

A safer, more walkable, and more welcoming 3rd Street NW is on the way!

A safer, more efficient Motor Pool Road is on the way. This multi-phase project will enhance the entire corridor from end to end.
