Thank you to everyone who completed the online pre-design survey in June! We are going through all the responses to learn more about how the community wants to experience this new park. Your feedback will help shape the next steps in the design process.

Save the date to join us at three in-person open house events this summer and fall, where you can continue to help guide the design. All open house events are from 10 a.m. to noon at Vancouver Innovation Center (18110 SE 34th St.)

• Saturday, Aug. 15: Explore park programs and amenities
• Saturday, Oct. 3: Provide feedback on design concepts
• Saturday, Nov. 11: Review the design before it's finalized

After each open house there will also be opportunities on this project webpage to share your feedback online if you can't attend in-person.

Project overview

The City of Vancouver is building a new community park in east Vancouver, and we want your help designing it. The new park will be 14-acres and located next to the northeast corner of the Vancouver Innovation Center, near 192nd Ave. and 20th St.

Our goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and unique community park that celebrates the natural character of the site and welcomes current and future residents to explore and play.

How decisions are made

The project team is made up of City staff and consultants. They will handle the day to day work of the project to keep it on track and on budget.

The community will provide recommendations and feedback to the project team through public meetings and online engagement opportunities.

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission is made up of community volunteers. They will receive updates from the project team and make sure the community perspective and park standards are aligned. The Commission will approve the final master plan before construction preparation can begin.
