The Leret Partnership
Thank you again for your feedback on the revised proposals. A number of themes came up during the consultation which include:
- Building heights
- Green space
- Parking
- Traffic
We were delighted to see a number of positive comments about the changes we have made, with comments such as “I think the revised proposals have improved and have definitively taken on the general feedback” and “the wire line diagrams show a much appreciated improvement since last year”. There were also more positive responses to the amount of green space being provided compared to our first proposals, which demonstrates how feedback from the community help to shape the development.
Some members of the community are still concerned about the building heights, although we have reduced the impact of the taller buildings as much as possible by relocating them to less sensitive areas of the site.
Parking and traffic were other key themes raised, with some concerns about the effects on the gyratory system and the parking that would be provided. We are working closely with Surrey County Council to review traffic levels in the town and will be providing sufficient parking spaces at Bull Hill to meet the likely demand.
Next steps
We are now finalising the updated designs and we plan to submit a planning application in Summer/Autumn 2025. After submission, a 21-day statutory consultation period will follow; during this time you can also submit feedback to the local planning authority. If you are signed up for updates, we will email you when this happens.
More information about the amount of feedback received to-date will be publicly available as part of our planning application, together with all other planning documents.
