Current Project Status Update The City continues to advance right‑of‑way and easement acquisition needed to support upcoming utility improvements. Progress across key stakeholder groups includes:

Easement Acquisition: The City is actively securing the remaining easements required for project delivery. Several parcels are in final review, with additional negotiations underway.

Coordination with Private Development: City staff met with the private development team regarding the planned waterline installation along Mulberry. Discussions focused on alignment, construction timing, and minimizing impacts to surrounding properties.

Resident Engagement: Staff is working directly with affected residents to negotiate easement terms, address questions, and ensure transparency throughout the process.

Interagency Collaboration: The City is coordinating with Denton County to finalize agreements for county‑owned easements needed to complete the project. Project Timeline Construction is anticipated to begin in Q1 2027, pending completion of easement acquisition and final design coordination.
