Evers Property Update (September 2025)

In May 2025, the City Council approved a development agreement with Jefferson North Elm LLC. As part of the agreement, the developer will pay all applicable park land dedication and development fees to the City for future use within the park system. Additionally, Jefferson North Elm LLC is donating 10.2 acres of land to Denton County, which will be preserved and maintained for public benefit.

Before the property is transferred to Denton County, the developer is required to complete the project design and construct a 10-foot-wide trail around the perimeter of the parcel. The project is currently in the design phase, with trail construction anticipated to begin in the Spring of 2026.
