February 2026 Construction Update

Work Packages 2 and 3 are in construction with anticipated completion Q4 2026.

Streets with active construction:

Utilities:

  • Alice (Panhandle / Crescent) – Tie-ins have been scheduled.
  • Parkway (Denton / Carroll) – Continue water main and laterals followed by chlorination testing. Carroll Blvd will have a 2-lane closure to install a sanitary sewer manhole.
  • Ponder / Scripture – Continue installing multiple inlets.
  • Bernard North (Chestnut / Hickory) – Traffic control placed and installation of water main has begun.

Earthwork/Flatwork:

  • Ave A / Collins – Pending completion of decorative concrete.
  • Denton St. (Hickory / Congress E) – ATMOS delay.
  • Egan (Anna / Bolivar) – Final lift of asphalt is scheduled with striping, signage, and removal of traffic control to follow.
  • Emery and Fulton – Curb and gutter to begin.
  • Normal (Scripture / Oak) – Continue curb, gutter, sidewalks, and driveways followed by backfilling and sod.
  • Panhandle (Fulton / Denton) – Continue fine grading followed by 1st lift of asphalt and concrete work.
  • Parkway (Denton / Carroll) – 48-hour notices to be issued followed by traffic control.
  • Ponder (Panhandle / Egan) – Continue installing reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) followed by asphalt.
  • Ponder (Egan / Scripture) – Continue driveways, inlets, and miscellaneous concrete followed by backfilling and sod.
  • Ponder (Scripture / Grace Temple) – Continue curb, gutter, sidewalks, driveways, and inlets.
  • Ponder (Grace Temple / Oak) – Continue fine grading followed by asphalt.
  • Ponder at Scripture – ATMOS delay.
  • Prairie (Welch / Bernard) – Continue curb, gutter, sidewalks, and backfilling followed by sod.
  • Scripture (Jagoe / Ponder) – ATMOS delay followed by re-installing traffic control.
  • Sunset (Carroll / Bolivar) – Continue rough grading followed by stabilization of subgrade and fine grading.
  • Welch – Pending completion of decorative concrete.
