The Neighborhood 2 and 6 project is nearing completion and final inspections of completed work have started. During final inspections staff will identify any areas needing to be corrected or reworked. These items are placed on a “punch list” which is an extensive list of all items found to need repair or replacement during the final inspections. The punch list is then provided to the contractor for repair or replacement prior to the projects final acceptance. These corrections are the contractor’s responsibility and will be completed at no cost to the City.
What can residents expect during final inspections and rework? Expect to see City staff and contractor walking all areas of the project inspecting completed work. Upon completion of inspections contractor may return to areas to perform required rework. Prior to starting any rework contractor will provide advanced notice and schedule to affected property owners.
