McKinney Street Sidewalks
SCOPE OF WORK:
Construct new and improve accessibility of sidewalk along South side of E. Mckinney Street to provide connectivity from Loop 288 to Audra Ln.
Project Length: Approx. 6500 Linear Feet.

Project Updates
April 2026 Update: Construction is underway!
A&C Construction began the week of 3-23-26 with the implemetation of their traffic control and general staging.
March 2026 Update: This project has been awarded to A&C Construction, Inc.
A&C and the City are finalizing contract documents and general pre-construction processes for we break ground.
February 2026 Update: Received a total of 13 bids from local firms
After careful review of those submitted bids, a firm was selected.
November Update
All negotiations for property acquisition have been completed.
September Progress Update
Design is 100% complete and ready to move forward with construction following some final negotiations with owners of impacted properties.
April Update
Beginning to work through the necessary easement and Right of Way acquisitions with property owners along this stretch.
January 2025
The City has received, reviewed and provided comments for the 30% submittal from the Consultant.
November
After careful consideration, this project's scope of work has been revised to include a continuous 5-foot-wide sidewalk in lieu of the originally proposed 10' sidewalk along the south side of McKinney St. to help expedite the construction of the sidewalk.
September update
The City of Denton has received the 30% design plans, which are currently being reviewed internally.
