Western Blvd (US 380 to Jim Christal Blvd)

The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) has awarded a grant to the city to support changes needed for better and safer drives within the community. The Western Boulevard project will add a new southbound travel lane, resulting in a fully built out four lane roadway. Improvements also include the construction of a 10‑-foot shared‑-‑use side path to better accommodate pedestrians and cyclists, along with additional safety-focused features such as upgraded crossings, street lighting and improved drainage. Together, these enhancements will provide a safer, more efficient connection from US 380 to Jim Christal Boulevard and support the area’s long-term mobility and growth.
