Tupman/Charter Oak Alignment Construction Update

The project to align Tupman Road and Charter Oak is progressing steadily. Following productive community meetings and extensive collaboration between the City of Edgewood and Kenton County School staff, we have completed the design phase and are now focusing on defining new property lines.

This step is critical as it will determine the division of responsibility between the City and the School Board for maintaining road right-of-ways and adjacent properties.

Next, we will present the property adjustments and final design for approval by the Edgewood City Council and the Kenton County School Board. We are also working with property owners to secure temporary easements, allowing work within the designated right-of-ways.

Our current timeline aims to bid the project in March 2025, award the contract in April, and begin construction in late May. By adhering to this schedule, we hope to complete the majority of construction during the summer of 2025 while school is not in session.
