Building a connected community to help more people in Elmbridge live well

Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent shaping community support in Elmbridge work. 

The outcome of this work will be presented to Elmbridge Cabinet on 14 July. The report and appendices are now live.

 In the report, we will see the results of 12 months of data analysis and the most comprehensive community engagement and consultation in the 51 years of Elmbridge Borough Council. 

Our aim is to bring forward a model of community support that reaches more of our community, including older people and those facing financial hardship, social isolation and health challenges that impact their ability to thrive. This is a model that not only connects our community and focuses on community health and wellbeing but that also helps the council reduce costs by around £1 million annually – essential as Surrey moves through local government reorganisation.
