Thank you to the more than 350 residents who participated in our first community questionnaire, providing over 1,800 individual comments. This initial phase of engagement was vital in identifying the strengths, challenges, and opportunities that will define our path forward.Based on your candid feedback, several clear themes emerged regarding what you value most and where you want to see the City focus its efforts:

1. Preserving Our Character: You consistently pointed to the city’s natural Hill Country beauty, quiet neighborhoods, and sense of safety as top priorities.
2. Managing Growth: There is significant concern regarding development along the city’s periphery and its potential impact.
3. Infrastructure Reliability: Maintaining the condition of our streets and ensuring the long-term sustainability of our water supply are top priorities for our neighbors.
4. Public Safety: Residents continue to place a high value on our status as one of the safest cities in Texas and want to ensure our first responders have the resources they need.

These insights are the benchmarks we are using to refine our Strategic Priorities. We’ve listened to your concerns and are working to ensure the final plan directly addresses the issues that matter most to you.
