To ensure we remain a thriving, vibrant community, the city is conducting a series of conversations to better understand what you love most about our town, the challenges we collectively face, and how we can address them.

This effort is designed to reflect the unique character of Fair Oaks Ranch, and your input is vital to ensure our planning aligns with the values and aspirations of those who call it home. Your feedback will play an essential role in helping city leadership craft a forward-thinking, solutions-oriented plan for our future. By sharing your perspectives, ideas, and experiences, you contribute directly to the development of strategies that will guide government priorities and community investments.

What to expect:
Throughout the first half of 2026, there will be multiple ways for you to share your voice, whether in person or online via our new Zencity Engagement Portal.

Phase 1 & 2: Intiation and Enagement & Discovery

• Launch of Engagement Portal: Starting January 16, residents could access our Zencity portal to participate in our first open-ended questionnaire. The questionnaire closed on Monday, February 9 at 11:59 PM. Keep an eye out for results!
• Community Open House (January 20): Join us at the Police Training Room for one of two sessions (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM) to discuss city priorities face-to-face.
• State of the City (January 29): Look for SAP updates and QR codes on engagement cards during the State of the City event.

Phase 3: Issue identification and Analysis (February – Early March)

• Steering Committee Insights (February 6): We will highlight the roles of the Steering Committee and how they are using your initial feedback.
• "What Do You Think?" Questionnaire #2: We will solicit specific feedback on emerging priorites developed by the committee.

Phase 4: Draft Plan Development (March - Early April)

• "What Do You Think?" Questionnaire #3: A final push for community feedback to refine the emerging goals before the City Council work session.
• Draft Plan Release: The draft plan will be released for public review.
• Final Adjustments: Residents will have three weeks to provide final comments or adjustments on the draft before it goes to Council for a final vote.

Phase 5: Review and Adoption (April - Early May)

• Plan Adoption (May 7): The City Council is scheduled to officially adopt the 2026 Strategic Action Plan.
• Transparency & Tracking: Following adoption, we will launch a formal tracking system in ClearGov, allowing residents to monitor our progress on plan elements in real-time.
