Billing Software Transition

About

The New Billing Software is now LIVE. Please visit https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/cityofgainesvilletx to pay your Utility Bill with the City of Gainesville. If you are a customer who was established before July 21, 2025, please see the image below for information about how you can find your Account Number and Customer Number to register for online payments.

Please see the "Project Updates" on the right side of this page for the latest information abou thte project, including our switch to a new mailing system.

Gainesville transitioned from STW system to a new platform provided by Tyler Technologies.

Customers who previously paid their utility bill online via the old system will need to sign up for a new account to review your bill online and for all online bill payments. Furthermore, utility customers who were previously signed up for credit card draft will need to re-enroll in automatic credit card payments. Instructions for this process will be provided closer to the go-live date.

Customers enrolled in ACH auto-draft will not need to take any action with their ACH auto-draft, though they will need to sign up for a new account. Their payment preferences will carry over to the new system automatically.

Test Copy of an old bill that shows customers where they can find their new account and customer numbers.
