Civic Campus

As our community continues to grow, the need for centralized public services is even more important. The project began after detailed deliberation and a needs assessment of our city departments, culminating in the City Council's 2023 decision to purchase additional buildings adjacent to the Police Station. Underscoring our commitment to meeting the needs of our citizens, the proposed Civic Campus will be a campus developed on the principles of functionality and flexibility.

Our first project of the new Civic Campus was divided into three planned phases. Phase 1 addressed the pressing need for a new City Council Chambers, with design that reflects the character of our city. Phase 2 included infrastructure analysis and design renovations in the areas of parking, stormwater management, landscaping, and communications. Phase 3 includes a re-purposed design of two additional buildings to better serve our community's needs. Phase 4 of the project will be construction and renovation, slated to begin mid-2026. We believe our collective efforts toward this Civic Campus will lay the groundwork for sustained development and civic engagement in Lake Stevens.
