Elland Road Neighbourhood

Connected and accessible location

Improving connections and access between Elland Road and Leeds city centre will encourage people to choose active and sustainable methods of travel.

Public transport

The neighbourhood could be served by public transport and there is the potential for Mass Transit to serve the neighbourhood.

Consolidating surface car parking with one or more multi-storey car parks

Relocating the Park and Ride facility could consolidate surface-level car parking, and deliver one or more multi-storey car parks / mobility hubs, subject to demand being demonstrated. These would serve the local community and visitors to the area on match days and non-match days.

An image showing how multi-storey car parking could be incorporated on the site. There are eight storeys to the car park, with space for EV charging, blue badge parking and cycles. Solar panels are on the roof.

Yellow-brick road walking route

A processional walking route between the Elland Road Neighbourhood and existing and new communities will improve connectivity.

The route would contribute to the neighbourhood’s distinctive offering, incorporating murals which make the walk an experience to enjoy on match days and non-match days.

There is also the opportunity to deliver improved cycling infrastructure including Leeds City Bikes e-bikes.
