Quieter and safer residential streets in Leeds

Leeds successfully applied for central government funding to make local journeys by foot or bike easier and safer.

This is because traffic has increased significantly in the last 10 years and drivers are increasingly taking short-cuts and speeding across smaller streets, not designed to carry lots of traffic.

By reducing the amount of traffic travelling across these areas it makes it easier and safer - especially for people walking, cycling and children playing.
