Alley Opening Notice

Alleys currently under construction now have the final layer of asphalt placed and are open for residents to park vehicles in their garages. The contractor will be filling in voids along the edges of the alleys with soil and seeding next week.

What this means to residents:

Garbage/Recycling Pickup:

Garbage/recycling pickup will occur in the alleys starting Thursday, Oct. 31. Residents will need to move garbage and recycling carts behind their homes (as code normally requires).

Mail Delivery:

Mail will not be delivered to residences until all the mailboxes are reset on each alley. Residents can continue to pick up their mail at the Normal United States Post Office, 200 W. North Street, Normal until all mailboxes are reset.

The contractor will reset mailboxes towards the end of this week and will complete the mailbox reinstallation next week. Residents can then contact the Normal United States Post Office to have their mail switched to mailbox delivery.

Parking:

Since the final layer of asphalt has been placed in the alleys, typical subdivision parking can resume on adjacent streets.
