Teegan Street to close beginning May 20
Savannah Green Update: Teegan Street
Starting May 20, Teegan Street between Redman Street and Henry Street will be closed to traffic for pavement rehabilitation. The closure will be done in sections to allow access to alleys on the south side of the street. The road is expected to reopen May 31. See street closure area in orange on the map. Work will be performed between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Work may be performed on Saturday, but not on Sunday.
What this means to you:
Garbage Pickup: Garbage will be picked up in the alleys on the same days as prior to the start of construction.
Mail Delivery: No impact. Mail will continue being delivered to residents’ mailboxes.
Parking: Allowed on any street except for the streets highlighted in the map.
Traffic Flow:
- Alleys remain open for use by residents to access garages.
- Vehicles turning on to the alleys with only one combined entrance/exit will need to yield to vehicles wanting to exit the alley.
Thank you for your cooperation during this street improvement.
