Updates to Mail Delivery and Traffic Patterns in Savannah Green
The Chippewa Street Improvements project is progressing to completion!
As the Town begins the final phase of the project, there will be some changes to mail delivery and traffic patterns.
Mail Delivery Impacts To Residents
The map provides a visual representation of the locations of additional temporary mailboxes for the next phase.
Temporary Mailboxes:
The Town will erect temporary mailboxes along Chippewa Street to serve these addresses:
• Chippewa: 912, 914, 916, 918, 920, 1000, 1002, 1004
Temporary mailbox locations are noted on the map with purple dots. These temporary mailboxes are just that – temporary, and some may be impacted by the project as it progresses. The Town of Normal will communicate these impacts prior to their occurrence.
Traffic Impacts:
The alley at the north end of Redman Street will be closed until removal and replacement is completed.
Alley access between 1004/1005 Chippewa Street and 1111/1109 Ogelthorpe Avenue will be opened.
The remainder of Chippewa Street will remain partially closed until joint sealing operations can be completed, then will be opened to all traffic.
Reminders:
No parking on Chippewa Street while work is being completed.
