What is Pride in Place?
Pride in Place is a long-term government investment programme that supports local communities to shape improvements in the places they live. For Scarborough, this means up to £20 million of funding and support over 10 years.
The programme is guided locally by the Scarborough Neighbourhood Board, which brings together local people, businesses, community representatives and partners.
Scarborough has a 10-year regeneration plan and a first four-year investment plan. The first projects for this four-year period have now been selected, and the programme is moving into delivery.
This is only the first phase of a longer programme. Future priorities and projects will be shaped as Pride in Place continues, with residents kept updated and involved as plans develop.
