New Fire and Rescue Station Project to be Discussed at Tonight's Budget Meeting

Peterborough Fire & Rescue Station Project

On Thursday, 1/25/24, the Fire and Ambulance Building Committee unanimously voted to progress the fire station project to the Town’s annual budget process. Although there is still significant work ahead to refine the final design and make crucial decisions, the Committee chose to move the project forward. They have gathered sufficient information from architects and the construction manager, giving them confidence that the project can adhere to the prescribed budget cap and fulfill the programmatic needs of the fire department. The next step involves presenting the project at its first budget hearing with the Budget Committee and Select Board on Tuesday, January 30th, at 5:00pm. Project Manager Seth MacLean will provide an overview of the process thus far, followed by presentations from Jason Lacombe of SMP Architects and Keith Kelley of Harvey Construction, who will delve into the design details and current budget estimates.

We welcome the public to join the meeting, held in the Select Board meeting room of the Town House at 1 Grove Street. Alternatively, you can watch the meeting livestreamed to Comcast Channel 22 or the U-Stream channel.
