NTMWD Project Update | October 3, 2025

Project Status

• The contractor has completed pipeline and temporary paving installation along Pitman Drive and Dolphin Drive near Custer Parkway.
• Construction of the pipeline continues to progress; 1500 feet out of 9100 total feet of pipeline have been installed.
• Tunneling for the pipeline is complete near Wilson Middle School. The contractor will be threading pipe through the tunnel soon.

Upcoming Activities (Oct. 6-13)

• Excavation will be needed on Dolphin Drive to allow for the installation of water line appurtenances and manholes.
• The pipeline crew will continue installation along Custer Parkway from Dolphin Drive to Carmel Drive.
• Carmel Drive will be closed until Oct. 20 to facilitate pipeline construction.
• Additional work will be performed in the median of Custer Drive north of Glencliff Drive for installation of vent piping, an air release valve and manhole.**

Future Activities

• Temporary street closures will be necessary at Westridge Drive, Northcrest Drive, Westlake Drive and Dolphin Street.
• An existing wastewater line will be replaced at Pitman Drive and Gardengrove Court.
• Additional tunnelling will be needed under 15th Street at Pitman Drive to complete the pipeline’s connection to Plano’s Delivery Point.
• Other work to finalize construction of the pipeline will include testing, paving and restoration of vegetation.
