Work Completed to Date:

Water main and water services on Hersey St are completed. The system is being chlorinated and tested. Once approved it will be activated.

Sewer work on Hersey Street is now complete.

Current & Upcoming Work:

Storm drain work on Hersey Street is ongoing. They have 100 feet of storm drain line left to install in Hersey towards Ocean.
There is also underdrain work to be installed and small catch basins down at the Clifton St end of the project.

The end of November 3rd week they will start to grade the roadway for base paving.

Current schedule is to pave Hersey St sometime the week of November 10th depending on weather.

Spring of next year the contractor will return to the site and work on Sidewalks as well as loam and reseed the areas disturbed.

The street will be finish paved sometime in the fall of 2026 and the speed bumps will be installed.

What to Expect:

Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Traffic & Access: Expect temporary detours and closures in work zones.

Noise & Dust: Construction noise and dust are expected during work hours, but crews are minimizing impacts as much as possible.
