Calder Way Project Phase 2 Update (August 6)

Dear property owners, business managers, and other stakeholders:

The Borough of State College is writing to provide you with the latest updates regarding Phase 2 of the Calder Way Improvement Project.

This past week, Ameron Construction began restoring the demolished wall and entryway at the GN Associates Building on Calder Way near South Burrowes Street. Work will continue through the remainder of this week and into next week.

On Monday, August 10, Ameron will begin pouring concrete for the sidewalks in front of the GN Associates Building and the dumpster pad behind Sweet Tooth Bakery. The work is expected to continue throughout the week.

Calder Way, from Miller Alley to South Burrowes Street, will be closed to vehicular traffic. At this time, access to the parking lot behind Little Szechuan will remain available during the restoration work. Pedestrian traffic will still be able to access Calder Way during this time.

Please remember that projects of this nature are fluid and often change, and they can be impacted by inclement weather. You will be updated in a timely manner about these changes as they are received.
