Calder Way Project Phase 2A Update (June 18)

Dear property owners, business managers, and other stakeholders:

The Borough of State College is writing to provide you with the latest updates regarding Phase 2A of the Calder Way Improvement Project.

This past week the contractor for Phase 2A, Glenn O. Hawbaker, completed installation of water main along Hetzel Street. Water service connections will occur early next week.

Mid-next week, Colombia Gas will be on site and working on lines in the intersection of Calder Way and Hetzel Street. Once Columbia Gas is finished, the installation of storm structures will resume.

Vehicular traffic along Hetzel Street from Beaver Avenue to College Avenue is closed. Deliveries that are made along Hetzel Street can be made along Calder Way. Drivers can enter from South Garner Street, deliver to the designated location and exit via South Garner Street. The contractor will assist delivery drivers.

Please remember that projects of this nature are fluid and often change, and they can be impacted by inclement weather. You will be updated in a timely manner about these changes as they are received.

The Borough wants to emphasize that primary communications will be sent via email through the Calder Way Communications list. Weekly updates will be provided on Thursday afternoons, and there will be times you will receive more than one update per week as conditions change.
