Calder Way Project Phase 2A Update (June 4)

Dear property owners, business managers, and other stakeholders:

The Borough of State College is writing to provide you with the latest updates regarding Phase 2A of the Calder Way Improvement Project.

This past week, the contractor for Phase 2A, Glenn O. Hawbaker, began the installation of water main along Hetzel Street. This work will take place over the next few weeks.

Next week, as the contractor progresses along Hetzel Street, additional closures will be needed. Hetzel Street will be closed from Beaver Avenue to College Avenue. There will also be no access to Wilson Alley from Hetzel Street during this time.

Deliveries that are made along Hetzel Street can be made along Calder Way. Drivers can enter from South Garner Street, deliver to the designated location and exit via South Garner Street. The contractor will assist delivery drivers. A map is attached to this email for the delivery route and closures that will be in place.

Please remember that projects of this nature are fluid and often change, and they can be impacted by inclement weather. You will be updated in a timely manner about these changes as they are received.

The Borough wants to emphasize that primary communications will be sent via email through the Calder Way Communications list. Weekly updates will be provided on Thursday afternoons, and there will be times you will receive more than one update per week as conditions change.
