Calder Way Project Phase 2A Weekly Update (March 26)

Dear property owners, business managers, and other stakeholders:

The Borough of State College is writing to provide you with the latest updates regarding Phase 2A of the Calder Way Improvement Project.

This past week, the contractor installed two new manholes and 85 feet of sanitary main line at the intersection of Hetzel Street and East Calder Way. Crews will continue to install new lines at this location next week.

Vehicular traffic remains closed from Hetzel Street to East College Avenue, as well as from Hetzel Street to Wilson Alley. Businesses can continue to utilize Hetzel Street off East Beaver Avenue for their deliveries.

The Borough emphasizes that primary communications will be sent via email through the Calder Way Communications list. Weekly updates will be provided on Thursday afternoons, and there will be times you will receive more than one update per week as conditions change.

Please remember that projects of this nature are fluid and often change, and they can be impacted by inclement weather. You will be updated in a timely manner about these changes as they are received.
