Urban Greening in Guildford!
We want to establish a network of interconnected green corridors across the entire county, by encouraging residents and businesses to take a stance in preserving wildlife within their own green spaces!
We also want to understand and document what measures are already being done to help make space for wildlife.
About the project
The initiative spans a two-year pilot phase that will extend until Autumn 2025. Our primary focus will be on the Guildford borough, which is outlined in the map below!
In our 'Have Your Say' section, you can mark a location within the project zone to share your thoughts regarding the proposed pledges. We eagerly welcome input from all segments of the community, encompassing residents and business proprietors alike.
If you reside outside the Guildford borough but wish to contribute information about your ongoing wildlife-friendly practices, you can still drop a pin within your own borough.
The project operates in conjunction with the Surrey Wildlife Trust, Zero Carbon Guildford, the Sustainable Business Network and collaborating partners such as Guildford in Bloom, University of Surrey and the Global Centre for Clean Air Research.
