Area surrounding Felix Road and Franklyn Road
Roads in this area include Felix Road, Weir Road, Franklyn Road, Tumbling Bay, Sunbury Lane, Russel Road, Cambridge Road, Dunsmore Road and River Walk.
Design proposals in this area include (please see the PDF file linked below for a plan of all the proposals):
- New wayfinding signage to key locations.
- Tactile paving, dropped kerbs and raised tables are proposed at several junctions/crossings points where these are currently absent. These would make it safer and easier for users to cross the road, especially those with reduced mobility, visual impairments, or with a pushchair.
- Additional yellow lines to restrict parking around key crossing points and improve visibility.
- Footway resurfacing to improve the walking and wheeling conditions.
