Cycle Movement Strategy Phase 3: Bayswater Road
Phase 3 of the Cycling Movement Strategy looks to formalise temporary schemes implemented across the borough as part of the Council’s COVID response, to create high quality cycle routes with wayfinding. This consultation is seeking views on a permanent scheme for Bayswater Road.
The Bayswater Road Cycle Movement Strategy Phase 3 scheme looks to enhance cycling and pedestrian facilities in both directions along Bayswater Road, from Palace Court to Lancaster Terrace.
The scheme will deliver a safer, permanent, and continuous cycling connection linking existing Cycleways C3 and C27 within Westminster, providing a direct east–west route for people cycling along the north side of Hyde Park.
The informal consultation ran for a 8 week period from Wednesday 10 December 2025, concluding on Wednesday 4th February 2026.
