Background:

This phase builds on the earlier stages of the scheme, which focused on the middle and southern sections of Queensway, between Porchester Gardens and Bayswater Road, in January 2020 and May 2021. The scheme was paused to accommodate the redevelopment of Whiteley’s Shopping Centre.
This initiative forms part of the Council's wider commitment to delivering a Fairer Westminster, an inclusive, sustainable and people-focused city.
We are consulting on this scheme because we want to ensure it works for residents, businesses and visitors.

We Asked:

  • Westminster City Council is proposing to continue delivering regeneration improvements to Queensway, between Porchester Gardens and Westbourne Grove, to create a more attractive, accessible, and vibrant streetscape.

  • This ongoing initiative aims to establish Queensway as a vibrant shopping and leisure destination with a high-quality environment that is welcoming to shoppers, local businesses, and residents alike.

  • This consultation seeks feedback on the proposed changes to the layout of the footway and carriageway in the Whiteley’s area of Queensway.
