Residents have your say!

This is an opportunity to work with the Resilience Team and contribute to building a more resilient community.

Emergencies can happen at any time and affect anyone. The Resilience Team in Westminster City Council aims to empower individuals and communities to prepare, respond, and recover from emergencies. However, building Community Resilience requires a 'whole of society' approach, and we want to hear from you about your existing emergency preparedness capabilities, needs, and barriers. This will allow us to develop a Community Resilience plan and key initiatives that are equitable, inclusive, and accessible by placing the needs of the community at the centre.

The Resilience Team

In an emergency, always call 999 before you contact us! The team works closely with other local authorities, the emergency services and partner organisations to ensure that when an incident occurs, our response and recovery plans are ready to be activated. When requested, the team joins the emergency services at the incident scene to coordinate our response. In some cases, our response is coordinated from the Borough Emergency Control Centre. We can assist through a range of different departments, from Environmental Health to Highways and Transportation. Working alongside partners such as the British Red Cross, we also provide specialist care and humanitarian services to those who need it.
