A new destination for London

Haymarket, Regent Street St James’s, and Waterloo Place

Haymarket, Regent Street St James’s, and Waterloo Place have traditionally been hubs of diplomacy and heritage retail. Now, with cutting-edge fashion and nightlife emerging, this central part of London is poised for a bold new identity.

Surrounded by the ICA, National Gallery, theatres and cinemas, Haymarket could be revitalised into a new and vibrant cultural hub for the West End. Regent Street St James’s and Waterloo Place will be transformed. A proposed traffic-free network of streets and spaces of over 25,000sqm – more than double the size of Trafalgar Square - could provide a setting for interesting and unique experiences. It’s time to enhance the area’s character and strengthen its identity with the energy of the West End.
